In my previous role as the Alumni Relations Chair for my fraternity, I was responsible for creating and sending out a quarterly newsletter to our alumni. In the past, the newsletter had been a simple email with a short paragraph, which received minimal responses. I wanted to improve the newsletter and make it more engaging, so I decided to use my newly acquired skills in graphic design to create a new version of the newsletter. After almost two years, the new alumni chairs have continued to use my innovative approach and have been more successful in their roles as a result. This experience allowed me to apply my skills in graphic design and problem-solving to improve the effectiveness of our alumni communication efforts.
